In order to qualify for the Edwards, Michael Douglas Endowed Scholarship for Culinary Arts, a student:
| 1) | must be enrolled in the Culinary Arts student at Sandhills Community College in Pinehurst, North Carolina. |
| 2) | must be entering his or her second year of the Culinary Arts Program. The Scholarship provides for both semesters of the second year. |
| 3) | must have exhibited strong potential for success and desire to complete the degree. |
| 4) | must have exemplified in the giving of oneself; and leadership qualities in school activities and community. |
| 5) | should have and maintain a 3.25 GPA. |
Applicants should contact the administration of Sandhills Community College or there instructors for information on how to apply for the endowment. The selection deadline for the scholarship is April. The selection of the recipient will be determined by a Scholarship Committee with recommendation from Chef Curt Shelvey.
