Scholarship for Culinary Arts is a scholastic award offered to
celebrate the life
and memory of Michael Edwards of Carthage, North Carolina.
The scholarship is offered annually to second-year students enrolled in the Culinary
Arts Program Sandhills Community
College. Michael unexpectedly passed away shortly before his 19th birthday. He was preparing to enter his sophomore year of the Culinary Arts program. Michael loved the program and looked forward to a future making others happy with his creations. Michael's parents have created this endowment in a hope that the passion their son felt for cooking can live forever in the hearts and minds of other young men and women.
